http://www.newyorker.com/news/sporting-scene/jeremy-lins-younger-brother-joe-chases-his-basketball-dreams/amp
Does joe lin have a chance in the CBA?
Skill wise, PROBABLY he is good enough for CBA when compared to some Chinese point guards playing in CBA.
But the thing is Joseph Lin is an American holding USA passport, I guess.
So he won't be eligible to qualify technically as a Taiwanese player that could be recruited by CBA teams as a local player.
Unless a CBA team is willing to SPLASH BIG $$$$$ and SACRIFICE 1 of the 2 expat slots to recruit him, he probably can't join CBA.

Well easy solution for him is to get his taiwan passport and then he can be a local CBA player. No way any CBA team will use their foreign spot on him.
That would be interesting, I wonder if he would adapt to living in China, since his life in Taiwan seems pretty comfortable.

Well, China is NOT that BACKWARD as compared to Taiwan.
In fact it would be MORE ADVANCED in terms of living standard, transportation, cuisine/food, e-commerce, dependent on cities/teams he chooses to stay/play.
For example in Hangzhou, it is becoming the FIRST CASHLESS city of China where one needs NO USE of cash; every facet of life (transportation on bus, ferry, train; shopping in supermarket, mall, or even street hawkers/newspaper stalls) can be done through AliPay (by Alibaba), or WeChat Pay (Tencent).

YEAH..............THAT'S TOUGH !!!
But I've SOLVED it !!!!
I recently bought a new router that can AUTOMATICALLY BYPASS the Great Firewall, and now I no longer use proxies and can access all the sites that were previously banned by China: facebook, Instagram, Twitter Youtube, South China Morning Post, Apple Daily, Next Magazine.........the list just goes on and on !!! DON'T THINK Jeremy got his Taiwan passport.
THEROCIALLY he could, as unlike China, Taiwan does not enforce DUAL NATIONALITY , i.e. Taiwanese American can apply Taiwan passport without giving up his US passport.
Even Joseph Lin is employed as a US expat in the Fubong Braves in the Taiwan’s Super Basketball League.
