Lin is a better player and Mchale is better as a coach... by not coaching

Remember, McHale was the coach who cut Lin right before Linsanity happened. He's obviously not a good talent evaluator.

The only way he'll get enough votes is if he's leading the conference in scoring and the Nets are in contention for a playoff spot.
