Why affirmation at all?

Why does blacks need to slander Lin?

Can't you decide for yourself what you like and dislike?

Haters will draw 36 million reasons to hate... you can spend your entire life trying to appease them.

I don't know how many of you have had direct conversations with the brothas about Lin. I myself have had a few encounters and confrontations with the black guys about Lin. On both occasions, these douchebags said Lin isnt a superstar, he can't ball like the "brothas", he's good as a back-up, and he definitely don't deserve all the attention and $$.... etc....blah, blah....I had to jump in and defended Lin and offered these dumb niggas some hard facts and stats about Lin.

I have always felft through the media and thru talking to the brothas, Lin would be more accepted by the Blacks and BSPN if he had these qualities:

>>Went to a Big 10 or Big 12 College with a strong bball program and became a bonifide star.- Harvard has no bball cred.
>>Got drafted into the NBA instead of being a 'walk on'- no cred
>>Acting more hip and got tatted up- too soft- skin too light, wrong 'color'
>>Lack street cred- no one give a ****** about Palo Alto nor Harvard
>>Talk less about God- soft
>>Being Chinese- too soft
>>too much LOFs- way too soft
>>Linsanity- to much hype and hocus pocus crab, not legit.
>>Inconsistent- too much up and down

Once about 2 years ago a 6'7" but over 30 and out of shape black dude who said he was from New York started talking to me about the Knicks. It was after Lin left, so we were just talking about whether Carmelo was legit or not, but I got the feeling the whole time he was trying to bro hug an Asian and bring up Jeremy as the type of PG the Knicks needed. I kept waiting for him to bring up Lin but I guess he wasn't sure if it was racist to bring up the 1 Asian NBA player with random Asian you meet so he never did LOL.

Yes. Jeremy dribbles like a white guy and has a slow release. Bad signalling for the brothas. The thing about that though is you don't have to be Uncle Drew to be productive. Lin is a not a top level PG but he can be a piece on a good team if used the right way.

Alot of basketball fans, whether they're LOFs or NOT, were MAD ALREADY that Jeremy got LOW-BALLED by Brooklyn Nets when most of Jeremy's peers are getting RIDICULOUSLY HUGE contracts.

On the other hand, when he's started and the team's superstar (Melo, Harden, Kobe, Walker) has been absent, Lin is something like a 20pt/6ast PG with a 25-11 win-loss record.

When Walker was on the bench, Lin averaged 17.9 points, 5.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds per 36 minutes of non-Kemba floor time, posting a 52.1 percent True Shooting Percentage while “using” 26 percent of Charlotte possessions, according to NBAwowy.com. Only eight players surpassed those per-minute numbers last season — Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, James Harden, Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, Damian Lillard and Manu Ginobili. Lin also generated 5.8 free-throw attempts per-36 sans Kemba, and his driving (he averaged 10.5 drives per game as a starter last season, which would’ve been a top-10 mark over the full campaign) and hs pick-and-roll playmaking figure to pair with linchpin center Brook Lopez to provide the engine of what Atkinson hopes will be a revamped attack.

Johnson was an undrafted NBA Development League guard, since 2015, participating in only 68 NBA games over parts of the past two seasons.

It's the SAME POISON PILL STRATEGY that Houston Rockets deployed to lure Jeremy Lin away from New York Knicks and other competing teams 4 years ago so as to lure Tyler Johnson from other competing teams (Sacramento, Chicago, Charlotte and New Orleans).

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/sourc ... 54260.html

Despite playing only for 68 games in the past 2 seasons (due to injury), Tyler Johnson is viewed by most NBA executives/scouts to be a player with the potential for a versatile and complete guard. If Miami Heat could not match Net's offer, Tyler Johnson will be earning $5.6 million and $5.8 million in the first two years of the deal, but $18.8 million and $19.6 million in the 3rd and 4th year of the deal.

Some of you guys are dreaming or delusional thinking Lin is or could be an elite point guard. That ship has passed. Remember, You guys were all optimistic and shiat at the beginning of his stint with the Lakers. Could it happen? Maybe....but a lot to ask any young coach and players to completely buy in on Lin and hand over the reins and essentially their team and careers to an Asian guy they have doubts in the first place. For all the talk of racial bigotry towards Lin from blacks, you expect that to reverse overnight? Then Lin would have to perform....he has been too inconsistent and not enough of an alpha dog. Lebron was frustrated with Kyrie Irving's selfish play but eventually relented to let the talented and difficult Irving to do his thing to win a championship. Will a black superstar like that give deterrence to a Lin? Until that happens Lin won't matter much in Brooklyn but just a transitional piece until they can move on with someone with better upside.
