NO TIME to feel sorry for themselves for the LONGEST LOSING STREAK of 2 in 3 months, after losing to Toronto Raptors, Charlotte Hornets (44W 33L) flew into New York to play a back-to-back against New York Knicks (31W 47L) at Madison Square Garden.

The loss at Cleveland and Toronto reflected one glaring weakness of Charlotte Hornets, i.e. the starting group often had slow start, dug out big hole in 1Q or first half, and never able to come back in 2H. And the absence of Nicolas Batum due to injury was also a main reason of the Charlotte Hornets losses.

As it stands now, after the 2 losses, Charlotte Hornets is stuck in #6 position of the Eastern Conference, 1 game away from Boston Celtics (45W 32L) and Miami Heat (45W 32L), and 1.5 game away from #3 placed Atlanta Hawks (46W 32L).

With only 5 games left, the hope for winning the Southeast Division from Atlanta Hawks or Miami Heat is getting SLIMMER.
They now desperately need to rebounce back to winning way to keep within striking distance to move up the ranking again in order to win home court advantage.

It is not yet known whether Nicolas Batum will again sit out this game. If Batum is out again, Jeremy Lin might get the nod again to start for a second straight game after totaling 21 points and 7 assists against the Raptors.

As for the Knicks, they had dropped 4 of their last 5 games. And hopefully the Charlotte Hornets will be able to take care of business in this game to rebounce back to winning ways.

Possible line up

New York Knicks

Point Guard: Jerian Grant
Shooting Guard: Sasha Vujacic
Small Forward: Carmelo Anthony
Power Forward: Derrick Williams
Centre: Robin Lopez

Charlotte Hornets

Point Guard: Kemba Walker
Shooting Guard: Courtney Lee
Small Forward: Nicolas Batum
Power Forward:Marvin Williams
Centre: Cody Zeller

Linsanity back in NY.

But the losses to Cleveland and Toronto shows us Charlotte can not finish as 7th seed. They would get swept in the first round of the playoffs.

NO LINSANITY THIS TIME at Madison Square Garden and Jeremy did not start, even though Nicolas Batum was again DNP due to injury.

Nevertheless Charlotte Hornets still beat New York Knicks COMFORTABLY 111 ~ 97 to rebounce back to winning way !!!

Jeremy did not play too well today, probably it is a back-to-back and he played for 40 minutes yesterday in Toronto.

His shooting touch deserted him as he bricked tons of shots, and despite numerous penetrations,
ONCE AGAIN, he got NO FOUL CALLS from the referees !!!   He only scored 6 points (2/9 FG% 2/5 3-pointer% 0/0 FT%), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 foul and 2 turnovers in 33 minutes of action.

if there are black refs working the game, Lin should just jack up 3-pointers.

Not having Batum played a big part in those losses. I wouldn't count them out against Toronto.

Back to back, plus injured elbow. Still played 33 minutes off the bench...
