That's like asking why didn't the Lakers let Gary Payton be a point guard in 2004 instead of giving Kobe the ball the majority of the time. Kobe was better than Payton, and Hardin is better than Lin. That's not a criticism of Jeremy. It's just the truth.
Well, all I know is Kobe pissed off Howard last season because of his ISO; so if Harden doesn't change, he'll piss of Howard too.
if DHoward doesn't change and get w the program, Hardin /McHale/rox fans would be pissed at him

WITHOUT Jeremy last year, personally don't think the Rockets would have made the playoff. There were so many nights that Rockets lost because of hero ball from James Harden. Both Chandler Parsons and Jeremy were playing Mr. Nice Guy watching James Harden playing hero ball/ISOs and focusing on points per night insteads of teamwork or FG%.
while Lin has been under-appreciated, his steady play at the pg position has been invaluable. that said, hardin, by far, was rox best player last yr.

hardin's absence was the reason that OKC did not win the ring last year

It's a NO BRAINER that ISO plays destroy chemistry.
some of the greatest iso players of all time include mj and kobe; these 2 elite iso ballers account for 11 rings over the last 24 yrs

every one of phil Jackson's championship team had an elite iso player.
      too, LeBron and Duncan are superb iso players as well;
they account for another 6 championships.

the only reason that OKC didn't win a ring last year was the iso baller named hardin was no longer on the team.

yet another vivid eg of pry's mantra, the poster child for 一 头 雾 水,
don't let facts get in the way of a false claim.

OKC didn't win the championship in ANY year, even with Harden.

Why didn't you stick with Kobe? OKC didn't win the ring b/c Kobe?

Why didn't burgers because kobe?

Kobe burgers kobe?

Why didn't Payton burger the kobe?

yeah those are stupid examples, Houston isn't trying to not win championships lol@ LA and OKC being the models for not winning.

the issue isn't harden, mchale has to figure out if they're going to slow down the offense to feature dooight in the post.

if pryuen thinks isobeard is stupid, Dwight flailing around with no moves in the paint missing FTs to lose games while Harden and Lin stand around would be even more gay

Taking the homer goggles off.

Houston has problems.

Dwight is no clutch and can't close games because bad free throws. He throws his FT like darts.

Harden is a ballhog. That's his style that McHale spoiled Harden into when he put the team in Harden's hands last season.

McFail as coach. Now with Dwight, McHale is force to run an offense and not just let the dogs out.

The positives; Houston has defenders in every position to lock down opponent's star player. This in itself is enough to feed on the weaker teams and get in the playoffs. Howard can traditional PFs. Jones and Parsons can guard stretch 4s. Brewer is a good defender at 2 and 3.

if McHale doesn't ****** it up, if nothing else Houston should be a good frontrunner team. run up and down the court throw it into Howard, guys run around screens hit the open jumper or layup. build a lead, knuckle down on defense and beat some ****** teams

the structural issue is that the NBA is a game of mismatches and unlike other elite teams Houston doesn't really have anyone that created huge matchup problems

also Howard is limited offensively and only top level guy they have who can score and create for himself is Harden. at crunch time unless McHale wants to lose it makes sense for the ball to be in Harden's hands same as last year except now there's a 6'9" special snowflake in the paint who wants the ball too

but in all, Houston has a lot of pieces. if they had a decent coach he could probably make something of it. I think McHale is just going to let it ride for 20 30 games and expect ppl to figure it out, alpha dog to eat the puppies etc and sort out the dominance

goin to the Rox was the best option available fo DH.

McHale is gonna teach him some more inside moves. for Rox sake, thru the process of osmosis, some of his teaching will rub off on DH. that's a big if, but should it pan out, Rox are gonna to make noise---way past the first round---in the playoff

an elite ISO baller, a dependable inside presence as well as an outside sniper, and a steady pg, make for a formidable combination.

Haha, you know McHale only looks out for #1, himself.

McHale in his mind will let the players "figure it out" for themselves. Meaning he's going to store up ammo to blame on the players.

Also, McDonuts isn't too smart. He lets the reports lead him to traps, especially related with Lin. He could have cleared up a lot of misconceptions right off the bat, but he kind of let them linger and build on it.

Dwight outside of his freethrows is a dominating player. He is a top 5 player in the NBA by his stats alone. He was top 3 player 2 seasons ago.

Ironically, Dwight and Shaq is similar in that they both have limited offensive ability. In hindsight, people don't bish about Shaq's limit on scoring range. Dwight can use his speed and power alone to score 18ppg. Also, the refs reward him 1 block a game that is usually called goaltending by anyone else.

absolutely; being able to enhance DH's limited inside game is
as close to automatic job security as it gets

because of his uber athleticism and defensive ability, even w a limited ISO inside game,
He is a top 5 player in the NBA, top 3 2 seasons ago.
imagine him w a dependable ISO inside game :!:

au contrare

McHale has over 30 yr experience in the NBA game; his drafting / nurturing of KG underscores his judge of talent and intelligence.
