why's everyone jumping up and down like he's the best thing since Sun Yue? Remember Pryuen fawned of Sun Yue and look what happened to Sun in LA. Don't get ur hopes up, Lin might spend more time on the pine than on the court. All u Azn brothas pinning ur hopes on an undrafted free agent  Sure he had a great summer league but the NBA season hasn't started!!

People are jumping up and down cause he's got a chance to be one of the first Asian-American ballers to make an impact in the league. Even the possibility is astounding, and it's not necessarily his game, but also what it represents to many people here in North America what it means. He might not pan out to be the next great thing, and I'm sure only a fair amount of people actually think he'll be THAT great, but sometimes you gotta look at some aspects beyond just the game. Firsts like these do matter to people, kinda like what Obama represented, to some degree. You're right that there's that chance he won't make the league still, but you can't deny others from feeling excited about the prospect.

Well, ONE THING FOR SURE is that Jeremy Lin will get his FAIR SHARE of play minutes insteads of like Sun Yue who got rotten on the bench due to the depth of LA Lakers.

In case you did not know, HATER NIG1, Jeremy Lin will basically be the back-up guard to Stephen Curry.

Lin wasn't just brought on to be the 15th man. Riley said Lin will get every opportunity to earn the 10-or-so minutes available behind starting point guard Stephen Curry, which Lin said is one of the reasons he chose to sign with the Warriors.

Riley, who has three open roster spots remaining, still could add another guard. He said he still wants some experience on the bench. But he also wanted Lin. Even if the Warriors had been able to keep Watson, the veteran point guard they traded to Chicago, Riley said he would have signed Lin.

[b]The first order of business for Lin

notice that Raymond had conveniently omitted any references to the talent-depleted NYK, who had also cut Plateaued Sun
Yes, JLin will get his fair share of PT, directly related to his performance in practice and game situations.

your innuendo that Plateaued Sun was not treated Fairly is a Fukking lie.
    stop lying.
Plateaued Sun was protected by a guaranteed contract, that was the only reason he made the Lakers roster despite being out-played by every scrub in training camp.

In practice and game situtaion, it became obvious that Sun Yue had no business---lack of skills / versatility--- being in the NBA. Despite that, he was gifted with a guaranteed contract.

the fact that Sun was cut by both
    a talent-rich team and
 a talent-depleted team like the NYK,
suggests that he just doesn't have what it takes to be in the NBA.

Bluntly put, Sun Yue has plateaued
