CJH is one of the better talent that can match other international players. He is just young and immature about how to use his talent. So, damn it give him achance to show cast his talent and if he keep dribbling take him out as punishment.

In comparison to CJH look at Steve Franchise and he does the same thing over and over again.... But, with CJH at least you see some hope because he is still young...

A point guard's primary TALENT is being able to see the court and make decisions to distribute the ball. Chen is fast but he's not demonstrated noticeable talent in the categories most important to point guard.

Also the Olympics is not a showcase of individual talent or the proper place to allow allow people to make mistakes and develop. That's what all those ****** years of warmups were for. If he's not ready now he's not ready.

At these Olympics the job of any Chinese guard is to be able to feed the post half-decently and hit the open jumpers they're given. It's no benefit to have a guard who can penetrate but has a conversion rate less than an outside jumper and is prone to bad turnovers and lapses on defense.

The difference with Steve Francis is that even in college SF had an uncanny ability to FINISH at the basket when he drove (many times with high percentage dunks). Chen can drive as well as anyone we've ever seen for China but he cant finish. Also Francis obviously is all around more athletic and faster than Chen.

Liu... you guys are right he's hard to excuse. He just sucks and it blows the mind that he actually had a try out with the Kings (or whoever). I cannot imagine the humiliation those practices must have been. But who is better? Sun is rightfully a 2 guard. The other guards are even worse than Liu or Chen. China plays Liu because he's the least horrendous option they have. Just be grateful when the guards dont actually LOSE games for china... because honestly they well could.

It's a shame that Chen couldn't have gone to college in the US, because the discipline and fundamentals you learn in college ball is exactly what the kids needs and wont be able to find in China. He looks like he actually could be one of the fastest guys in NCAAs right now and he'd actually learn how and when to use that speed as well as match up against other athletic players to learn how to finish in traffic

chen is better than liu wei will ever be at this age. it'd be nice if liu wei can get pass half court without picking up the dribble. talk about feeding yao. where's the execution that people were talking about? where's the feeding? i just don't see it. he plays like he is a shooting guard trying to get himself going.

Liu Wei has had some nice games but unfortunately he thinks of himself as a hero too often, when his primary task is to bring the ball up the court and get the ball into good positions for Yao to scored. In fact it's not just Liu Wei but all of the Chinese PG's seem to have this hero mentality, including Chen and Zhang. Zhang is actually the worst PG I have ever seen in my life. Every time he is on the court I sense that all he wants to do is dribble up the court, dribble around a screen and shoot a pull up 3. That's about as bad you can get for a PG.
