LOL !!!

FVCKING CLUELESS BUTT-TROLL !!!

Well, at this stage Yao Ming would not fire Du Feng.
The purpose of splitting the national team into the Blue and Red team is give more opportunities for young and up-coming players to be picked for national team, and gain exposure and experience in the international tournaments.

Another purpose is let the 2 green coaches (Li Nan and Du Feng) to gain experience and compete for the final position of head coach when the 2 national teams will be combined for the 2019 FIBA World Cup and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (if China qualifies for the Olympics during the 2019 FIBA World Cup).

So firing Du Feng right now would defeat the purpose for splitting the natioal team into 2 and let the 2 local coaches compete for the final head coach position.

pryuen the stupid freak moron. By firing Du Feng now, that would mean another coach will be able to gain experience and compete against Li Nan. Why keep Du Feng when it is clear he is more inept than Li Nan?

The point is there is NO OTHER COACHES WILLING to come out to compete for the job of the national team. More experienced coaches like Li Jiuping, Li Chunjiang and Wang Zhizhi had ALL DECLINED the offer from CBA.

pryuen's big idol Yao Ming himself should step up to become the coach of the CNT, instead of acting scared. If necessary Yao Ming himself should pay the salary for the coach of the CNT to attract more capable people to become coaches.

So without the firepower of Ding Yanyuhang and Zhou Qi, CNT Red team lost 74 ~ 82 to South Korea tonight in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers in Shenzhen.

South Korea's newly naturalized black American player Ricardo Ratliffe scored a double-double of 25 points/11 rebounds to lead the South Korean winning the game easily, leading from the whistle, and at one time, 15 points by middle of 4Q.

The young CNT Red Team played pretty well, but was without their shooting touches, missing lots of open look 3-pointers. And the interior players Wang Zhelin or Abudushalamu Abudurexiti could not stop Ricardo Ratliffe dominating down in the low post.

And one thing that puzzled me was that Head Coach Li Nan gave Sun Minghui very little play minutes despite starting him. The point guard/ball handling responsibilities were rotating between Zhao Rui, Fang Shuo and Zhao Jiwei. The offense and flow of the game was okay, but the exterior players missed lots of their shots.

Abudushalamu Abudurexiti was the top scorer and rebounder with 15 points/10 rebounds; Zhao Jiwei 13 points/3 rebounds/2 steals and zero assists; Zhao Rui: 11 points/3 rebounds; Wang Zhelin 9 points/6 rebounds; Liu Zhixian 8 points/2 rebounds/6 assists; Yu Changdong: 7 points/3 rebounds; Fang Shuo: 5 points.

This is unfair for the SK to have non-Korean player.
pryuen do you think the real combined red and blue teams, with all the main players, will be able to trounce the Koreans (with non-Korean)?

LOL !!!!

This Head Coach Du Feng of the China National Blue Team is SUCH INEPT AND UNFIT to be the Head Coach !!!

41 seconds left in over time. China was 3 points behind to Lebanon.

In a fastbreak counter-attack, Zhou Peng scored a sweet 3-pointer, then to his agony and despair, just to realize that his head coach Du Feng had already called for a time out and therefore rendered his
game-tying 3-pointer VOID !!!

Image

Eventually China lost 92 ~ 88 away in over time to Lebanon in the 2nd round of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers yesterday.

Du Feng DEFINTELY had lost to his competitor Li Nan, Head Coach of the Red Team for the position of the China National Team
(when the 2 teams combined in coming months) for next year's 2019 FIBA World Cup.

He made bad decision for game plan and strategies, does not know when to make on-the-fly changes to players and game plan, showed personal favoritism and bias to his choice of players, does not know how to best utilize his palyers, and bad substitutions and timing to call for time-out. He picked 6 guards and just Hu Jinqiu and Han Dejun for the trip when everyone knew Han Dejun is old and slow, and possibly China willl need 1 more interior player to marshall interior defense and fight for rebounds.

Yao Ming interfered and re-instate Tao Hanlin into the Final 12 roster for the trip to Lebanon, and Du Feng just DNP Tao Hanlin. As a result, starting centre and power forward Hu Jinqiu and Ren Junfei were ran to death with Han Dejun playing just less than 15 minutes with little impact, and China was owned in rebounds and wasted a 7-point lead by end of 3Q, dragged into over time and lost to Lebanon. China had beaten/thrashed Lebanon 17 times in previous encounters in international/Asian tournaments. This is the FIRST TIME EVER China lost to Lebanon in baketball !!!

A couple of players must have added alot of marks and will have HIGHER CHANCE to be considered for selection into final roster of the Combined National Team.

Image

Former national team team captain Zhou Peng shone in this game,
coming out top scorer with 22 points(7/11 FG% 2/5 3-pointer% 6/9 FT%)/5 rebounds/4 assists/1 block shot in 31 minutes of action.

Hu Jinqiu had a double-double of 14 points (5/6 FG% 4/4 FT%)/12 rebounds/4 assists/2 steals in close to 35 minutes of action.

Wu Qian
contributed 16 points (5/12 FG% 3/7 3-pointer% 3/3 FT%)/1 rebound/1 assist/1 steal, but has to learn how to control his fouls in international games. He got fouled out in crucial moments of 4Q, and played only less than 20 minutes.

On the other hand, Guo Ailun DISAPPOINTS AND SUX BIG TIME in this game. He could still be hampered by leg/knee injury, and OBVIOUSLY UNFIT for play, slipping onto the floor while trying to accelerate or dribble and turning the ball over. He played for less than 10 minutes in first half from the bench, and was DNP for the rest of the game. He was held SCORELESS missing his 2 shot attemtps and his 2 free throws, had only 2 assists but also 2 turnovers.

He should use
MORE OF HIS TIME for his rehabilitation insteads of wasting them on his Weibo or TV celebrity variety shows !!!

With all their predecessors (Yao Ming, Wang Zhizhi, and the rest of final 12 roster of the national team that played in 2008 Beijing Olympics) watching/raving support for them from the court side, the youngsters of the National Blue Team sort of redeemed themselves and bailed out their inept head coach Du Feng as the national Blue team finally beat Jordan 88 ~ 79 last night at home in Beijing.

BUT IT WAS WITH A BIG SCARE as at one point in 3Q, the Blue Team was lagging behind by 14 points !!!

Guo Ailun was DNP due to a swollen arm, and instead the young Hu Mingxian got plenty of action. And he did not disappoint his fans, as he scored his first double-double (12 points/10 assists) in his national team career.

Hu was one of the 6 players that ended with double-digit scoring. Wu Qian is the top scorer with 17 points/7 rebounds/4 assists; Han Dejun brought the house down in 4Q as he stepped up to score 10 of his 16 points with his clumsy but effective/efficient scoring in those crucial moments as the Blue Team came from behind to regain the lead from the Jordanians. Hu Jinqiu contributed 14 points/5 rebounds; Zhou Peng also scored 14 points and Ren Junfei had 10 points.
