It seemed like the previous news about Ding Yan Yuhang received an invitation from Dallas Mavericks to play in the Summer League was a FAKE ONE.

In his locker room interview with CCTV5 and Basketball Pioneers on the night of the Shandong team's elimination from the playoff, he said he is REALLY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED for such a BITTER END to this season.

He also said he REALLY WANTS TO HAVE A TRY/TASTE of NBA basketball,
and wants to play in the Summer League. He said he knows he is not good enough yet for NBA but he really wants to go and see the world, and how he will perform in the highest playform of professional basketball.

But it will not be Dallas Mavericks, but other teams that his agent has been working on, and he had not decided yet.

When asked whether he will leave Shandong in the coming season as this is his contract year, he said he treats Shandong as his second home, and he and all his team mates had played together for years, and they had been like family on and off the court.
Even though alot of teams had approached him, given similar terms, he is inclined to stay with Shandong.

Ding Yan Yuhang departed for USA from Beijing today for his off season rehabilitation and to attend special basketball clinic. He will stay for 3 weeks before returning to China to rejoin his Shandong provincial team to compete in the group preliminary of the China National Game in late April.

During his stay, it was reported that he will take trial with 2 NBA teams. If successful, he will join one of them for the Summer League in July.

Don't think Ding Yan Yuhang's team i.e. his agent had disclosed that information to the media. They just said they are arranging for 2 NBA teams which had expressed interest in Ding Yan Yuhang previously for the trial.

Ding is a genius after the slight injury. He is better than leading PGs like Chen Jianghua or Guo Ailun.

Houston is not a great place for Asians. Look what happened to Nig. So, why is Houston trying to snatch up all the Asian players? After Yao... first it was Lin, then they dumped him... then they signed Lin again, and then Qi... and now Ding?

I'd rather Ding go to LA or GSW.

What happened to Nig in Houston?

Why don't they just just trade Zhou Qi to another team? Zhou Qi is already a premier power forward.

Houston made Nig into a brainwashed-Asian.
