How about Wang zhelin against Su Wei?

Wang Zhelin had played against Su Wei 3 times in the past 2 seasons.

In his rookie season, Wang Zhelin scored 24 points/13 rebounds vs Su Wei's 4 points/1 rebound as Su Wei only played sparingly in that game for 7 minutes or so.

After Su Wei transferred to Xinjiang, they matched up twice last season.

They virtually neutralized each other out in their first encounter; Su Wei scored 10 points/2 rebounds/2 assists/5 fouls/1 block shot, while Wang Zhelin scored 12 points/6 rebounds/1 assist/5 fouls/1 block shot.

In the second match-up, Wang Zhelin COMPLETELY OWNED Su Wei. Wang Zhelin scored 23 points/18 rebounds/4 block shots/5 fouls, while Su Wei got fouled out with 14 points/6 rebounds/1 assists/6 fouls.

it's no biggie that his shot was blocked; but it was blocked by a help defender, who had much longer distance to cover

the fact that
  • his shot was blocked way below the basket, indicates that
he had little lift in his elevation.
  • his shot---going for a layup---was blocked way before his arms are fully extended indicates
how slow his was---driving to the basket---in comparison to a nba defender
  • he was shocked by the block indicates that
he was accustomed to playing against slower and less athletic defenders

to say that
he pales in comparison w a true NBAer, one who is often-injured / much older baller,
would be under-stating it :!:

He's damn slow and retarded. He's also on a wrong way to develop his skill.
He should not try to play like a PG to show his agility.
On the contrary, he should focus on his low-post skill and shooting skill to expect becoming the next Bateer. Because actually he's even not as good as Bateer now.
Remember, Bateer led CNT to enter the final 8 contest of Olympics twice.
This guy led CNT to lose to Taiwan, lol

LOL !!! :P  :D

You want to emulate Dr. No to FABRICATE ******** from your rear????

Mengke Bateer ONLY represented China to play in 3 Olympics: 1996 Atlanta Olympics (8 ), 2000 Sydney Olympics (10), and 2004 Athens Olympics (8 ).

China did get into #8 in 1996 Atlanta Olympics. But both Mengke Bateer and Wang Zhizhi were considered rookie on that team comprised of more established stars like Hu Weidong, Liu Yudong, Gong Xiabin, Wu Qinglong, Li Xiaoyong, Zheng Wu. The starting centre on that team was Shan Tao. NO ONE (EXCEPT IDIOTS like you) will credit Mengke Bateer, who only averaged 5.1 ppg/3.2 rpg in 8 games in Atlanta, was the one that led China to finish #8 in that Olympics.

And EVERYBODY knows that Yao Ming was the ONE that led China to finish #8 in the 2004 Athens Olympics and NOT Mengke Bateer.

IN FACT,
in Athens, after CNT was heavily humiliated by Spain, Yao Ming had that famous burst of temper, bombarding and criticising certain players not giving their best and fighting; actually he was finger-pointing Mengke Bateer !!!

From there on, Mengke Bateer was NEVER picked to CNT anymore.

WHO DO YOU TRY TO KID that Mengke Bateer was the one who led CNT to #8 in 2004 Athens Olympics ???

No, Yao didn't point to Bateer in 2004. He just generally spoke to other teammates because in his eyes, these guys had no difference.

Don't you agree that Bateer is among the top 3 centers in China between 95-05? Why do ppl put him and yao and wang together and call them the moving great wall?

Wang appears in CNT in 96. Before then, Shan Tao and Bateer are the twin towers of CNT! But I doubt you watched basketball at that time, lol

NAAAAAAAAAAAH, Yao Ming was pin-pointing/finger-pointing at Mengke Bateer for not giving his best and fighting.

That was disclosed in ex CBA commissioner Li Yuan Wei's autobibliography in 2010.

In the build-up to the 2004 Athens Olympics, Yao Ming was DEFINITELY a lock-up for the centre position. Mengke Bateer and the then CBA MVP Tang Zhengdong was competing for a slot in the Final 12 roster.

Mengke Bateer and Tang Zhengdong were both displaying good form and shape during the closed door training. CBA authorities eventually dropped Tang Zhengdong for Mengke Bateer cos they thought Mengke Bateer had seniority and more experience than rookie Tang Zhengdong.

But right after Mengke Bateer got his slot in CNT, he started to skip alot of the team practices/training using all kind of reasons including his waist injury as excuses.

That sort of p!$$ed Yao Ming off.

And if you bother to check the CNT roster in 2004 Athens Olympics, alot of his team mates were quite young and new to CNT (Yi Jianlian, Du Feng, Chen Ke, Zhu Fangyu, Mo Ke etc.), while some others were Yao Ming's close buddies like Liu Wei, Guo Shiqiang and Li Nan. Mengke Bateer was the most senior player on the roster with the most caps, and supposedly should take a leader's role in the team.

THAT'S ALSO WHY Mengke Bateer NEVER got picked for CNT EVER SINCE, cos IF NOT, CBA was afraid that Yao Ming would not agree to representing China anymore.
