I do not think that there would be that many people at the airport if it was Obama...

Just a bunch of silly fans allowing TMac to take money that should be given to Yao Ming.

First, it is NOT the fans that hire and pay TMAC to join CBA.

Second, even if it is not TMAC, the Qingdao Double Star Eagles would have spalshed approximately the same $$$$$$$ to sign another expat player.

Third, it is
NOT like Yao Ming will be able to return to basketball court to play in CBA.

SO IT IS SAFE TO CONCLUDE this is just ANOTHER PIECE OF ATTENTION-WHORISH SPEW OF GARBAGE from our SuperMoronicJean !!!!

TMac is now making money and taking money out of China. That money if used to hire a Chinese player would have helped a lot of people.

TMAC may be over-the-hill, but he is clearly in better shape than any of his chinese teammates. he is going to dominate the CBA this season.

Well, it is TOO DAMN EARLY to predict.

According to what were reported by reporters that were there in Qingdao Guoxin Gymnasium to watch TMAC's first team practice/scrimmage, he had lost his speed and was MUCH SLOWER that he used to be; he also lost some of the jump in his jumpers/3-pointers; he even missed an uncontested dunk with no players chasing or around him.

Besides, basketball is about 5 vs 5. This Qingdao Double Star Eagles lost their 2 of their Chinese starting players of last season: Cai Liang had returned to Shanghai MAXXIS Sharks, and their best scorer/shooting guard Li Gen, MVP of the CBA All Stars, had been lured away and signed by Beijing Jinyu Capital Steel Ducks. The remaining Qingdao Double Star Eagles are a bunch of scrubs. TMAC was not known to be a leader that could lead and motivate his team mates under adversity; unlike Steve Francis, he should have some gas left in his tank and be able to play and to score double digits but I don't see how he could lead this Qingdao Double Star Eagles to a CBA Championship as TMAC so blatantly boasted.

That is because Yao Ming had known TMAC inside-out both as a player and as a person; he would not have considered signing him, just another ex NBA star that was well over his prime, an extremely talented prima-donna ball player but a lazy bum with no leadership calibre, and poor work ethics and inter-personal skills, and was in China for his last bucket of gold; signing TMAC could boost the box receipts of his team in short term, but not necessarily good and healthy for the long term strategical/tactical development of his Shanghai MAXXIS Sharks !!!

Which young chinese player from Shanghai Sharks is going to get more playing time that TMAC would have taken away?

Shanghai is biggest city in China and should have the best basketball team and biggest names.... like Beijing. But since Yao left, Shanghai can barely make the playoffs.
