Orlando
PG: Jameer Nelson
SG: Keith Bogans
SF: Hedo Turkoglu
PF: Rashard Lewis
C: Dwight Howard

Milwaukee
PG: Mo Williams
SG: Michael Redd
SF: Desmond Mason
PF: Yi Jianlian
C: Andrew Bogut

My thoughts: Orlando has the better frontcourt while Milwaukee has superior guards. Andrew Bogut should fare even better against Dwight after bulking up considerably over the summer.

Key matchup: Yi Jianlian vs Rashard Lewis. 8)

Lewis is a good first match up for Yi IMO. He plays more like a 3 than a 4 and relies more on skill than brawn. As long as Yi doesn't pick up cheap fouls on the perimeter guarding him, I think Yi could be in for a good debut.

As for the Bogut v Howard match up, Bogut may have bulk up but Howard is an incredible physical specimen. It'll be tough to keep him off the boards. Bogut will need to concentrate on boxing out and this where the Bucks will need Yi to attack the boards because he should be able to match Lewis for athleticism and speed.

Good luck Yi. Let's hope he Milwaukee gets the season off on a good start.

Yi with 10 pts, 7 rebounds, 1 TO, and 2 PFs.
Rashard fouls out! JJ on that last one!

Totally agree. Rashard is IMO an ideal first matchup for Yi. Let's hope he makes the most of it.

Yi need to be more physical with rashard. he's a softee and doesn't play well at the 4.

Rashard will take Yi out of the painted area and Yi will suffer from guarding rashard out there as NBA rules favor "guards" and rashard plays like a guard. Yi will draw fouls

YI on offense should take it in the hole with rashard as he can't guard YI. Yi needs to watch out for offensive charge.

Overall, I think YI would be subpar on this game as he will draw quick fouls. His first regular NBA game and a starter. he will be nervous.

Howard will take bogus to school everyday. if bogus plays too tough or hard on howard he's injured himself. that's how tough and stong howard play.

^If you've watched the previous matches between Milwaukee and Orlando, you would know that Bogut usually does pretty well against Dwight.

hard match up for yi to be guarding rashard since he plays more like a 3 and vice versa. yi needs to stay out of foul trouble and he should be fine. dont expect much from him in his debut. he needs to work on his defensive skills.

It's been confirmed that Desmond Mason will guard Rashard. So that means Yi is left to guard Hedo Turkoglu.

What is coach K thinking.
