LOL !!!

Big Yao fooled everybody.....

Actually he and Ye Li had decided on the name of the baby a month ago, but he just won't leak it to the media/reporters.

That's the POWER of Internet !!!

Luis Scola learnt the news about Yao Ming's new baby....

But somehow he mistook it as a son !!

He asked for help from his vast base of Chinese fans for the Chinese translation of his congratulatory message.

A fan sent him one.

He used it and sent it to Big Yao !!!

LOL !!! POOR Yao !!!! :P :D

According to this article from 163.com

http://sports.163.com/10/0522/12/679ND1PO00051CA1.html

  • The baby girl was born in The Methodist Hospital Downtown, located in the Texas Medical Center in Houstonwhich is considered one of America's best hospitals.
  • She was 6 days ahead of her original expectancy date: May 27.
  • Ye Li's parents had also arrived Houston 2 weeks ago so as to be with their daughter to welcome thier grand-daughter.
  • Yao Ming had thought out a name (both Chinese and English) for his daughter. Ye Li had also picked hers.
  • After consultation with their parents, the consensus was Ye Li's choice was better, and Big Yao's suggestion had been dropped.
