This year NBA will be the most cutthroat ever with the potential lockout. The newbie coaches will do everything possible to keep their jobs. Thibodeau is in no position to bargain for Yao.

McHale will work his magic, Yao end up with Celtics with 2 year contract.

Luckily Kevin McHale didn't get the front office powers he had in Minnesota to provide favors for his old Celtics teammate. Morey is still the man in charge.

In best case scenerio, Yao Ming will retire in two years. in worse case scenario, Yao Ming will retire this summer. it all depends on his ankle injury. here's what he had to say,

at best 2 years? not good at all, pretty much means he's finished, he's hoping to at least be able to play 10-15 minutes a game so he could have has kid see him on the floor to have as a memory.

that's an old interview from a couple months back

it doesn't look good though. everyone is in wait and see mode

amazing to think it was almost 10 years ago that Yao came into the league.

it's almost the same amount of time between today and when Yao came to when Yao came and Jordan won his first ring. so long yet, it also seems like Yao could do so much more if he could just get healthy

I can tell you right now if Yao plays in FIBA Asia the Rockets won't re-sign him and neither will any other team. The entire NBA knows that Yao's CNT commitments are the primary reason for his injuries. Yao is responsible for every single CNT success because of his time in the NBA. Without him the CNT can't even qualify for March Madness.

that's stupid they'll still sign him

yao's last injury is 75% mismanagement of his surgery and rehab. he obviously came back too soon or the surgery didn't do the repair it was supposed to.

if greg oden is getting paid then someone will sign yao.

put Yi in college and he'd be the player of the year right now. it's stupid to think that the CNT couldn't beat a 3rd or 4th team in a major conference who makes the NCAAs
