Houston Rockets will play in Toyota Centre versus a hapless Sacramento Kings before travelling away for a crucial back-to-back against New Orleans Hornets.

As of now the Rockets probably knew that their chance for clinching the playoff is basically just mathematical.

Unless something drastic happens to New Orleans Hornets and Memphis Grizzlies,
say Grizzlies winning over New Orleans Hornets, and just 1 more game, but losing every of their remaining 5 games and finish the season at 46W/36L, and the Houston Rockets win their remaining 5, and also finish on 46W 36L, then Rockets will edge Memphis Grizzlies for the #8 spot, cos the Rockets enjoy the tie breaker over the Grizzlies.

Or New Orleans Hornets just win 1 of their remaining 5 games to finish 45W 37L, then Houston Rockets will get the last spot. If New Orleans Hornets and Houston Rockets finish with the same W/L ratio, New Orleans Hornets will get the playoff spot cos they enjoy the tie breaker on the Rockets.

Houston Rockets is still 3 games apart from both Grizzlies and Hornets, but there is only 5 games left.

So they will need to first win every of the remaining games,
and hope they will have some help from other teams, and both Grizzlies and Hornets falter at the final stretch.

They will play against Sacramento Kings, which they had beaten every time they met this season by an average of 15 points. But since the return of Tyreke Evans, the Kings had improved significantly and won 4 out of their previous 6 games.

So in that sense, the Rockets must try to put away the Kings as soon as possibly can, and rest their key players for the dead-or-alive back-to-back against New Orleans Hornets.

GO GO GO ROCKETS !!! GO FOR THE WIN !!!

1H ended. 52 ~ 46. Sacramento Kings led.

Looks like it's going to be a close game for the rest of the second half.

The Rockets starters might not be getting sufficient rest for tomorrow's back-to-back against New Orleans Hornets.

Of course, that would depend on whether the Rockets can beat the Kings in this game.

If the Rockets loses this game they have only themselves to blame, as LA Clippers provided them with a helping hand by coming back from double-digits to beat Memphis Grizzlies 82 ~ 81.
