So after an emphatic win over a hapless New Jersey Nets, Houston Rockets travelled into Philadelphia to face a sterner test of character from Philadelphia 76ers which had been giving them alot of fits and troubles in the past 4 years, having won 6 out 7 of previous contests.

This could be a crucial game to decide whether the Rockets can still continue their final push for the playoff, as they're still 2 games apart from Memphis Grizzlies with 8 games left.

The good thing was Philadelphia 76ers is almost guaranteed a 6th place finish in the Eastern Conference, as they probably could not surpass #5 Atlanta Hawks (4 games apart), and its closest opponents, #7 New York Knicks (2 games apart) is in a slump and could further slip. Therefore hopefully the Philadelphia 76ers will not be playing with a must-win mentality.

But for the Rockets, this is a MUST-WIN, as the margin for error is very small; while they hope Memphis Grizzlies will further slip, they have to play each of the remaining games as if they were Game 7 of a playoff series.

The good news is all their starters get sufficient rest in 4Q of the thrashing of the New Jersey Nets, and should be re-energized and fully motivated to win this tough back-to-back.

GO GO GO ROCKETS !!! GO FOR YOUR 40TH WIN OF THE SEASON !!!

As expected, a tight game so far.

4 minutes left in 2Q. 49 ~ 46, Houston Rockets led by 3 points, after carving out a 2-point lead (33 ~ 31) in 1Q.

The 76ers are shooting the lights out with 60% FG% so far, over 10% than the Rockets (who shot only at 48% FG%). The Rockets slightly out-rebounded the 76ers, but have more turnovers than the 76ers.
