Yao Ming said it's 50~50 chance he can return to play, and if he can resume playing, he still wants to stay with the Houston Rockets.

Photos of Yao Ming, accompanied by his wife Ye Li, at the annual Tux & Tennies Charity Gala.

Yao Ming still relies on his walking crutches to walk, but he told reporters that he can probably resume normal walking on his own in another 10 days to 2 weeks or so. And it will be about 10 weeks that he can start practicing running, and resume vigorous rehabilitation on court.

The next team Yao should play for is the Chinese national team. If he can prove he can still dominate in international basketball then many teams can still give him a big contract.
