Right after thrashing Indiana Pacers to return to be a 0.5 team, Houston Rockets travelled to Sacramento to play the lowly Sacramento Kings for their fourth attempt in this season to exceed the 0.5 winning ratio mark.

The Houston Rockets had been playing pretty well right after the All Stars break/trade deadline, winning 6 out of 7, and had improved to 32W 32L, only 3 games away from #8 Memphis Grizzlies, and 1.5 game away from #9 Phoenix Sun and #10 Utah Jazz in the Western Conference.

Despite losing Shane Battier and Aaron Brooks, the Rockets seemed to have played
much better, particularly in defense, with Chase Budinger and Courtney Lee gaining more play minutes. Instead of allowing over 105 points scored against them by their opponents, they had only allowed 95 points or fewer scored against them in previous 4 games.

Therefore playing against the lowly Sacramento Kings will give them an opportunity to exceed 0.5 and be closer to the leading pack for a coveted playoff spot.

GO GO GO ROCKETS !!! GO FOR THE WIN !!!

1H ended. Houston Rockets carved out a 7 point lead to lead 65 ~ 58.

The first half was a closely contested one. Sacramento Kings led 30 ~ 29 by 1Q. But the Rockets managed to squeeze ahead in 2Q with their 2nd tier players out-playing their counterparts.

The Kings were shooting much accurate than the Rockets (56% FG% vs 51% FG%, 50% 3-pointer% vs 28% 3-pointer%), out-rebounded the Rockets (23 rebounds vs 18 rebounds), out-blocked the Rockets (5 block shots vs 1) but had 8 turnovers vs 4 of the Rockets.

The Rockets starters seemed not playing with enough energy, intensity and urgency, but once again their 2nd tier team mates bailed them out.
The Rockets bench outscored their counterparts 24 ~ 5.
