So their West Caost swing will come to an end, as the Houston Rockets will face a surging LA Clippers in Staples Centre.

After their usual lousy start of the season, LA Clippers had finally climbed out of the rock bottom of the Pacific Division and the Western Conference, and is currently on a winning streak of 3.

Blake Griffin after sitting out for his rookie season, is hot on fire, and is on a streak of 16 consecutive double-double, and is a hot contender for Rookie of the Year Award.

The LA Clippers had also improved on their defense; they are averaging 96.8 points and surrendering 100.8 on the season but have scored 107.3 and allowed 92.3 during the current winning streak.

As for Houston Rockets, they are also on their very first winning streak of 3, and is only 2 games away from veing a 0.5 team.

The injury of Aaron Brooks had been a blessing in disguise, as Kyle Lowry had been playing better and better in position 1, organizing the offense well and averaging over 7 assists per game.

So this will be an interesting match up to see which team will have the last laugh to chalk up their first winning streak of 4 for the season.

GO GO GO ROCKETS. GET THIS WIN FOR A CLEAN SWEEP OF THIS WEST COAST SWING AND TO BE 1 GAME AWAY FROM REACHING 0.50.

shouldn't the game threads from here on be moved to Yao's teammates and coaches section? This section should be deleted bc Yao ain't coming back on the court.

1Q ended. Houston Rockets led 32 ~ 28.

The lead could be MUCH BIGGER.

The Houston Rockets were leading by double-digits by the 3 minute mark.

But then might be due to lapse of concentration, turnovers crept in, and the LA Clippers came back strong to reduce the deficits to only 4 points.

1H ended. 56 ~ 43. Houston Rockets lead.

The Rockets played better defense in 2Q,
suppressed the Clippers' FG% by over 10% point. The Clippers were hitting 55% FG% in 1Q, but by end of 1H, they were only hitting 44%.

The Rockets were being out-rebounded (19 rebounds vs 23 by the Clippers), but they had fewer turnovers (5 turnovers vs 9), more assists (14 vs 8 ) and much more accurate in free throws (83.3% vs 55.6% FT%).

HOU 9:30 Kevin Martin made 3-pt. Jump Shot, Assist Kyle Lowry

Martin for 3 !!!!

65 ~ 47....... 18 points lead now in early 3Q.

The Rockets should try to put this game beyond Clippers' reach within this quarter.

3Q ended. 74 ~ 62. 12 points lead by the Rockets.

The Rockets did not manage to put the game beyond Clippers reach.

But they still have a 12 point lead carried into 4Q.

Hope that's sufficient for the win.

Geeeeeeeez, a 14 ~ 3 run by the Clippers completely erased the lead.

77 ~ 76, 6:47 minute mark in 4Q. Rockets still leading but lost the momentum already.
