Yao Ming's latest entry on his Twitter, inviting Chris Bosh to join Houston Rockets.

He had the similar entry on his Facebook as well.

Yao Ming increased his shares in his music website venture.

And Google too.

And Google had succumbed in front of the authorities, and had renewed/obtained its ICP (Internet Contents Provider) permit from China to continue operating in China.

Google Makes Further Investment
in Chinese Music Site

By Michael Kan, IDG News

Google has made a further investment in Chinese online music provider Top100.cn, it confirmed this week, even as the U.S. search giant waits to hear if its license to operate in China will be renewed.

Basketball star Yao Ming and Google each took part in a second round of funding for the Web site, Chinese news media reported. Some reports put the total of their separate investments at about US$1 million.

Google spokeswoman Jessica Powell confirmed late Tuesday that the search giant took part in the funding round but would not disclose the amount.

Top100.cn and Google have been partners since 2007, working together to provide online music in China. Their main rival has been Baidu.com, but while Baidu controls about 64 percent of the local search market, the links it provides for music downloads often lead to illegal, pirate music sites.

To compete, Top100.cn has worked to offer legal downloads, signing deals with major music labels.

Top100.cn did not immediately return a call seeking comment about the investments Wednesday. The site boasts a music library of more than 1 million songs.

Shaun Rein, managing director of China Market Research Group, in Shanghai, said Google's investment makes sense for the company. "The trend is toward legal music services," he said.

But he was surprised that Top100.cn accepted the funding from Google, given that company's recent troubles with the Chinese government. Since last week, Google has been waiting to hear from Chinese authorities about whether its license to operate in China will be renewed. Without the license, Google could potentially be forced to end some of its operations in the country.

"I think right now with Google, everybody is trying to shy away from working with them [in China]," Rein said. "They are concerned with the way the government is going to act with Google."

With LeBron joining DWade and Bosh. It would be hard for the Rox or any team winning the Championships in the next 5 years.

When Kobe, Gasol and Fisher won the Championships 2 years in a row.

it's not going to be just those 3

mike miller is signing with Miami and both Wade and Riley have mentioned that all of them have a list of players they're recruiting

miller for example is close to Lebron and is taking a pay cut to play with him. they were on the national team together

which is cool because I like Pat Riley and unlike Phil Jackson Riley can actually coach...

but it's going to be hard for anyone else to win...

no the Lakers esp this year show that it's a team game.

2 years ago they didn't have the bench to compete with Boston and they lost

this year Kobe had a ****** series but they still won because of the entire supporting cast... not because of Kobe, Gasol and Fisher.

your example actually proves Pryuen's point that it's not 3 on 5 you need the extra pieces.

if Kobe had been with Cleveland instead of Lebron and had some bad games like Kobe had in the playoffs they would have LOST

as for Houston... the problem is they have been BUILT to compete with LA. the Rockets actually have a great shot against the Lakers but dont match up nearly as well with Miami. specifically if Lebron plays the point it's going to create huge mismatches with the small guards for Houston.

as you say YAO is the only thing they really have in that case... he's a MASSIVE mismatch in favor of houston because Bosh CANNOT slow him down he doesn't have the physicality and they wont be able to sign a premier center (let alone a couple) to take on Yao defensively

Yao Ming showed up as a special guest yesterday (July 8 ) at Aaron Brooks' Basketball Camp for children at the Rice University of Houston. He gave a talk to the kids attending the camp, watched the kids playing and autographed baksetballs as souvenirs for them.
