Great first quarter by Scola. I like his aggressiveness. This guy should in the Olympics that he can carry a team by himself. So if the Blazers are intent on stopping Yao, then I say keep going to Scola and make them pay.

It's a good comeback by the Rockets after going down big early. Hang in there and the Blazers young players will feel even more pressure.

Scola on fire

AWESOME !!! 15 points contribution (7/9 FG% 1/1 FT%) from Scola, beneficiary from the defense attention given to Big Yao.

But personally think for some reasons,
Big Yao plays quite passive and tentative in 1Q. Not much moving, and not much fighting for position.

Thankfully the Rockets have Scola. Yao will need to step it up though because I doubt the Blazers are going to let Scola have his own way like he did in the 1st quarter.

Finally. A call on Oden after some pretty blatant grabbing. Of course, that means Prybilla is back defending Yao, he does a better job denying Yao deep positon without getting called for fouls

SCOLA for MVP!

WTF is Yao doing? 2 ugly azz shot followed by a turnover and then a little touch foul.

His last shot was ugly.

Yao can't even defend.
