Wow, look at the scores for the 3 teams above Rockets in the West Standing:

POR 36, DAL 40 (Q2)
DEN 59, OKC 70 (Q2)
CHI 62, NOH 44 (Q2)

If Portland, Denver, and New Orleans all lost, and the Rockets won, then the ROX will climb above New Orleans, and match Portland, and within half a game of Denver.

Only if the ROX can win this game. Now we are:

HOU 56, MEM 64 (Q3)

Update:

HOU 61, MEM 73 (Q3)

It is not looking good.

10 ~ 2 run by the Grizzlies. 11 points lead by the Grizzlies.

Another big hole dug out now in early part of 3Q, as the Rockets seemed played without urgency and intensity, played into the rhythm of the Grizzlies and NO DEFENSE.

The Rockets have a good chance to lose this game. Don't play D and lack of energy will prevent them from winning this game. My goodness, lose to a team with losing record.

7:13 MEM - M. Conley makes a 27-foot three-pointer from the top of the arc. Assist: D. Milicic

76 vs 61......the Rockets is cracking !!

Well, if you let your opponents shooting close to 60% FG% and 60% 3-pointer %, and you are only shooting below 45% FG%, the chance for winning is ZERO !!
