On other occasions, there would seem to be a trap set.
The Rockets moved to second place in the Western Conference and will play the first-place Lakers on Sunday. Sold-out arena. National television. But first, play the Bobcats.
The Rockets, however, have the streak to think of and with that, have something as great in one sense at stake as the game against the Lakers would be in the more traditional sense.
Look past the Bobcats and a winning streak which is now the second-longest in NBA history can end. The Rockets might be eager to get to the Lakers, but now they have a lot on the line with a game against the Bobcats. The streak may be just the tonic the Rockets need to avoid overlooking the Bobcats.

If Wilt Chamberlain was never born the Rockets would be going for the longest winning streak in nba history. Unless the Lakers could have won 33 in a row back 35-40 years ago without Wilt Chamberlain.

He will not as he still got his knee swollen and sore.Quote: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/hot ... 18508.htmlLandry doubtfulRockets forward Carl Landry tested his injured right knee in a workout Wednesday, but with some swelling still in the knee Thursday, he's doubtful to play tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats.
"I think the whole key is going to be getting the swelling out of it, the soreness out of it," Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. "We don't want him to step backwards. When he comes back, we want him to be able to play and not have either one those things going on."

most likely landry will be available for sunday's game if not game vs boston.
we don't want landry to risk coming back against the cats.

Rockets win and a lakers loss to the Hornets would see the Rockets on top of the WCF.
