dude wzz is a lazy *****...your commment is funny as hell perfect with the picture...no other CNT member was sitting down...wzz is as talented as a basketball player can get...7'1 with the skills of a 6'8 guy can play 3 positions.....but too bad he never worked as hard as Yao...just look at his body it is like a toothpick little muscles on it......he is so skilled that he gets away with no having to try as hard as many guys in basketball....that my friends is his downfall.....

Don't you guys ever tire of the WZZ bashing? It's pathetic to see several hostile posts spawning from one picture of WZZ looking bored/tired.

The China national team suffered a buzzer-beater to lose 93 vs 92 to Brisbane Bullets.

Yao Ming played alot of minutes without support from Yi Jianlian who got into foul troubles early (4 fouls by half time, and had to sit out the full 3Q) and Wang Zhizhi who was sidelined with injury.

He played pretty rusty, got double and triple teamed for most of the game, but still scored 28 points (8/12 FG% ??), with 12 of those from the free throw lines (but he missed at least 4 to 5 free throws). Not that many rebounds, but with lots of assists (4 to 5) and block shots (probably 3 to 4).

Team China would have won if Wang Zhizhi was in the lineup because Yi Jianlian was having early foul troubles they could have gone to Wang Zhizhi and Yao combo. Anyways, Team China does have another chance to beat the bullets few days later when both of these teams meet up.

How about Ding Jinhui and Mo Ke and Zhang Songtao...what happen to them in this game?

I am a big fan of Wang Shipeng and Zhu Fangyu....did they play pretty good against this team. ZHu Fangyu and Mo Ke was on the interest of the NBA...what happen because it would be nice to see Zhu Fangyu go to the nba.

China has some good games coming up this month with European teams and Oceania and NBA team. Looking forward to it

It's one thing to lose the NBA summer teams and even Euro club teams, it's another to lose to the Brisbane Bullets, a club team from Australia, and with Yao Ming on your team.

It just shows that Basketball is a team sport, and when the rest of the team suckks, there's not much Yao can do. There's no way they can medal at the olympics with this lineup. It's just not up to scratch.

Granted, the Bullets has CJ Bruton and Sam Mackinnon in their lineup, which is the backcourt of the Australian National Team.

They should be embarrassed of themselves that they can lose such a game and it also shows that the Aussies usually play with pride and go out to win even in these situations.

The major problem with the CNT is their inconsistent play regarding effort, energy and execution.

They can lose to a crappy Australian club team one day, and beat a solid Euro national team like Serbia or Slovenia the next.

If they expect to have a good showing in Beijing, they must get more consistent play from the rest of the team.

Sun Yue needs to develop from a "talented" player who displays flashes of brilliance to a consistent player who can be counted on for 10 pts a game, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, etc. He needs to make a footprint on the stat sheet consistently, game after game. Yi Jian Lian cannot afford to have games where fouls take him out. If he gets into early foul trouble, he must learn to play through while still being effective.
ZhuFanyu and Wang Shipeng must be effective even when their 3s are not falling. Teams know they are snipers, so they must learn to drive and draw fouls or be threats beyong outside shooters. The remaining players just need to play strong defense and play with high energy...there's no excuse all of these things cannot be done. It's all about effort, bringing energy and playing smart.

I'm shocked that the CNT could lose to an Australian club team. I know how the CNT is capable of playing when they try. Just check out the famous win over Serbia and Montenegro where they played excellent offense, defense, and what's more, played with hustle and fire.
