If the playoffs started today, it'd be:
Dallas vs Golden State
Phoenix vs Denver
San Antonio vs. LA
Utah vs. Houston

Assuming Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio and Houston win...

How do the 2nd round matchups go? By that I mean, who's paired up against whom?

What if Rockets has home advantage? Then Rockets is seeded 4th, based on the w/l ratio, even though it is seeded 5th by the current rule.

There surely is a monkey on every Rocket's shoulder to get past the first round. Once they get rid of that monkey, then the confidence and team chemistry will take them deep into the playoff.

JVG will be looking for trouble if he does not play Bonzi Wells. The coach is not that stupid/arrogant.

Now suppose Rockets get to second round, and suppose Rockets sweep Jazz.

Second round match up:

Mavs come out of the first round 4-3. Lakers beat Pheonix 4-3. Nuggets take Spurs 4-2.

Rockets face Mavs. Lakers face Nuggets.

Now since JVG keeps Rockets from being rusty in that long layoff, and Mavs has been scared by Warriors, you dream about Rockets beat Mavs 4-1.

Then Rockets face Nuggets, when I am a winner in any case.
