My feeling is - there may be some truth in that he was playing sub-par because of his knees. But I think his attitude ( ie. couldn't -care- less attitude ) really poisoning the team atmosphere. He is one of the very few players that could smile when his team is loosing or has just lost a game, which goes to show how committed he is to his team. The saga continues - as you said.
