People, relax. Yao has played back to back big minutes games. He's burnt out. He needs to play 30 minutes a game, and we'll see him dominate again. Just watch.

And of course, sign a damn back up for Yao. MUTOMBO!

Let's hope cooler heads prevail as it is still early in the season and there is always something to carp about. Yao started strong for the first 3 games and everyone became concerned about his minutes. Yes ! he stunk against the Celtics and now everybody is on his case - too soft, too timid. Sometimes people do have bad days in the office and great players are no exceptions.

Having said that, I would rather see Yao play hard and aggressively even if he fouls out after 15 minutes than play the way he did after picking up 2 early fouls because it would eventually change the way players guard him, the strategies coaches use against him and influence the way referees call the game. Also, it will stop providing fodder to those critics who constantly use clips to embarrass and humiliate him (like the missed dunks despite his strong performances).

I am big fan of Yao...but I wanted to slap him during the game to wake him up or something. I'm ok if you're missing your shots but if you play soft.....grrrrr....grab rebounds and play good defense if the least that you can do yao.....stop tipping the ball to the opponent. I hope you'll play better next game....sigh

There are reasons for this defeat. But the biggest is the refereeing. It was one-sided in favour of the Celtics. When the game was almost decided, the calls began to become fair. The Rockets should speak to the NBA administration and ask for a review of the refereeing of this particular game.

In soccer, the referee can turn a game in his favour by just one or two intentional calls against the opposing team. But in basketball games, one or two intentional calls are not enough to serve the purpose, therefore, in this particular game, the referee had to make intentional mistakes repeatedly. But when the game was almost decided, he suddenly became sobre and made normal calls.

The GM has to do something about it.

Again, Artest really needs to think about defense and distributing the ball more. One thing T-mac has improved a lot during that 22 game streak last season is how to get teammates involved and let shots come to him. Artest is never going to be a player that carries a team offensively, his first two games was giving a lot of false impression to fans and himself, this really needs to stop.

Yao had a bad game, he needs to learn "turn up a notch" when things don't go well.

It's alright everyone... from what I saw of this game, the Rockets didn't give up at all to a solid Celtic's team that weren't about to lose 2 games in a row. They showed great intensity in keeping up with the Celtics and I think Battier and a better game for Yao were the reason why we lost. I'll give Yao and everyone else words of encouragement when I meet him at the Lakers game this Sunday. God I can't wait to meet Yao Ming after waiting so long since seeing him at the Olympics.

The messagingboard on the Chronicle is unbelievable. The 4th game in the season, already are people calling Yao soft and asking him to go.

They are a little late, they should have done that after the Dallas game *SARKASM*

Yao looked really bad in this game. As bad as I've seen. One can't help but wonder if his injuries and Chinese national team commitment have finally caught up with him. I am concerned but hoping that he was having a bad day.
