There was a big stir among Rockets fans here in Houston when we heard Yao was going to be recieving traditional Chinese medicine. I don't think Yao will be back for the playoffs. I'm no doctor, but I do know that swelling isn't uncommon when rehabbing after surgery.

Hopefully everything goes well. the last thing we want is Yao becoming an experimental object of doctors which aggravates the injury. Yiks.

If they chinese doctors solve the swell, even allowing Yao to return for the playoffs, the deserve all the acclamations they´ll get. A plaque in the medical HOF. Anything. Just get Yao back healthy:)

We won against Portland, but somehow I´m still not convinced by McGrady and friends. Too many j.u.m.p.e.r.s.. First free throw for McGrady in the 4th, with 5 minutes to play, ya kidding me?

American doc screwed up? what the fuc, still swollen?

I'm kind of asking the same thing. I'm thinking a big reason for this trip is to placate the Chinese and show he's committed to the team, and that he's still respects Chinese doctors. I doubt they can do more for him. IMHO it's more of a "warm and fuzzy" political trip than anything.

If they do solve his swelling, then some Chinese doctors are going to make alot of money from all the people in the West who will hear about their miraculous techniques and want those doctors to do the same thing for them! -- John
