$5 million for 2 years is a really low contract for an All-star player, what's going on here??? Steve must feel like he wants to prove something to Houston, not a good sign? Either that or the Rox got a hell of a bargain. Yao is getting something like $75 million for 7 years right? So he'll be getting 4x as much per year as Steve...
<em>
Don't forget that Portland paid Francis $30 million dollars on the remaining two years of his contract and let him go. So really he's making an extra $15 million per season, and just got the money paid up front by another team. This is very similar to how the Mavericks bought out Michael Finley's contract a few years ago, then he signed for cheap with the Spurs. So in essence, the Rockets did get a 'bargain.'</em>
