Dear John:

Thanks for your summary of Game #2. I have always enjoyed reading your post-game analysis. Keep up good work.

I wnder why you could not get the free media pass for all of the Rockets games? How much that cost? Can we fans share your cost?

I also have some thoughts that I want to share with you. I wonder if you can pass these to the Rockets management or JVG, if you think necsessary. But I do not want to post here to the public as some of them are strategies that I do not want the Rockets opponients to read.

Zoe

Zoe,

Thanks for the compliment. I opted not to request media passes for all of the Rocket games because I live about 160 miles from Houston. I also wanted to "save" my requests for a pass for the most important games. The Rockets do not charge a fee for a media pass, but they are very discriminating on who gets them. I'm probably on the bottom of the totem pole, but Team Yao was very nice to request that I get one occasionally since YaoMingMania is the top site for any Rockets player, and probably for most players, for that matter.

Feel free to email me your thoughts about strategy. If I agree with them, I'll try my best to squeeze in a question to get them to ponder it if I ever get the chance to bring them up, but 1) they have probably heard and thought about every strategy known to man -- JVG is very, very good about strategy, and 2) it's very difficult for me to get a word in because there are so many media reps asking questions, and very little time allocated toward questions and answers.

Thanks for your account of the game John. Your website is on my must read list (together with the Houston Chronicle articles and the Rockets.com article) after every game by the Rockets. Keep it up. And yes, they MUST give you a media pass. The fans (or at least this fan) expect it :P.

Thanks so much for the compliment. You have made my day! And that's good to hear you think fan(s) expect it. I might use that if I ever get that privilege taken away from me. :-)
